Last month the 2nd yr art students had their work exhibited in the centre for creative Arts and media in Galway. The theme was “My Space”. As part of the new visual art curriculum the 1st yrs also visited the art exhibition.
Congratulations to Lauren Dolphin her self portrait came second in the Texaco Children`s Art Competition . This is a very prestigious art competition and is now in its 65th year, many of our countries artists have participated in the competition in the past. The competition has an annual entry of 20,000 paintings from all over the country.
Lauren attended the awards ceremony in Johnston House last week.
Lauren was also presented with a token of appreciation by Mr.Cafferky, for all her artistic contributions to the school over her last six years in St. Raphael’s.
